Semi-Permanent Makeup
Microblading vs. Ombré Brows
Which Brow Technique Is Right for You?
At Luxe Aesthetic Lab, we offer both Microblading and Ombré Powder Brows—two of the most popular semi-permanent brow techniques. Each one offers different benefits depending on your skin type, desired look, and lifestyle.
Microblading
Hair-Like Strokes for a Soft, Natural Look
Microblading uses a manual tool with ultra-fine blades to create individual strokes that mimic natural eyebrow hairs. It’s perfect for clients who want a subtle enhancement or need to fill in sparse areas.
Best For:
- Dry to normal skin types
- Clients wanting a very natural look
- Those with some existing brow hair
Pros:
- Super natural “fluffy” effect
- Great for filling gaps or defining shape
- Looks like real hair strokes
- May fade faster on oily or textured skin
- Not ideal for those with very sensitive or mature skin
Ombré Powder Brows
Soft, Shaded Finish for a More Defined Look
Ombré brows are created using a machine that implants pigment in layers, resulting in a soft gradient—lighter at the front, darker at the tail. The effect mimics the look of powder-filled brows and is fully customizable from soft to bold.
Best For:
- Oily or combination skin
- Clients who want a polished, filled-in look
- Those with little to no brow hair
Pros:
- Longer-lasting than microblading
- Less trauma to the skin
- Great for all skin types
- Buildable from soft to bold
Considerations:
- Slightly more defined/powdered than microblading
- May not look as “hair-like” close-up
